This past weekend I was able to host a NIVEA Spa Party in conjunction with our girls night!? Let?s just say it made for the perfect relaxing girls night!? I feel like making daily routines of taking care of kids, husband, household, working, and just keeping up with life makes it necessary for all women to take a break and enjoy some pampering!? It?s refreshing and simply makes life just flow better when you take time for yourself.
This girls night was especially important to me as I am just 3-4 weeks away from welcoming a new baby, so it is likely the last one I?ll be getting without having a baby at my hip for a while!? Also being pregnant, it?s nice to kick your feet up and relax!
For our party I shopped at Sam?s Club to pick up this set of NIVEA Body Lotion!? Now, I?ll admit I typically just use whatever lotion I can find at home and right now it has been baby lotion.? I can tell you now my skin was not pretty using the baby lotion, every day my skin was so dry.? I tried out the NIVEA lotion and my skin was literally glowing after use!? Now, I have a bottle right? next to my sink in the bathroom so I can use it daily!? This lotion turned out to be perfect for hydrating skin, plus I love that there are no strong scents to it!
Once I had the lotion picked out, it was time to plan out the food and the other activities.? We stuck mostly with manicures; however, I also had a foot bath prepared, body scrub, and paraffin wax for hands!? Did I mention a lot of food was involved too?? That?s just a given, right?
I decided to setup a table in full of goodies for our Spa Party complete with the NIVEA Lotion and bowls with warm water for our hands as we tried out the different scrubs and products!? Next up, it was time to eat and pamper ourselves.? Of course, I think we talked more than pampering but that?s life with women!
The table turned out to be the perfect place to eat and talk before starting on our pampering!
On our menu of party food was Chicken Salad Croissants, Veggie Cups, and fondue!? I think the fondue was my favorite part.? We also had Cucumber Lemon Water.? I love the Cucumber Lemon Water and actually had it at a spa; however, it takes some getting used to.
Now, it?s time to pamper!? We did some soaking of our hands with body scrubs which literally made our skin glow!? Then, once our hands were well soaked it was time to paint nails.
The last step to hydrating our skin was adding the NIVEA lotion!? This gave the perfect glow plus keeps that itchy skin at bay!
My son also wanted to join me in the fun, so I let him sit with me and see what all we were going to be using.? I won?t lie, after seeing my pink fingernails he suddenly wanted his done too!? I have a hard time saying no to a 3 year old, but my husband was not to keen on him having pink fingernails.? His wanting of pink fingernails was short lived once he discovered rocks!
Our NIVEA Spa Party was a success, we all left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!? Pairing both the spa party and a girls night make for the perfect combination!
